Natural
Family Planning - Family of the Americas
Natural Family Planning refers to the practice of
achieving or avoiding pregnancies according to an informed awareness of a
woman's fertility. This organization offers information and training materials
for Natural Family Planning.
Aside from the issue of morality, there are numerous
advantages to Natural Family Planning over artificial birth control: 1) Natural
Family Planning does not involve the use of medicines, mechanical devices or
chemicals. Side effects or risks that may occur with the use of such medicines
or devices will not occur with natural family planning methods. 2) Natural
Family Planning methods are inexpensive. A nominal fee is usually charged for
instructional training/materials and supplies, but there are no ongoing costs.
3) Natural Family Planning methods require partners to share the responsibility
for planning or avoiding pregnancy. Typically, couples who use these methods
notice an increase in communication and in cooperation.

Roman Catholic Lectionary Web site
Many websites provide easy access to the scripture
readings assigned to particular Sundays and/or Weekdays in various church
Lectionaries. This web site has comprehensive tables of the scripture readings
from several Latin and English editions of the Roman Catholic Lectionary for
Mass, so that you can easily obtain an overview of all the readings used in a
particular liturgical season (Advent, Christmas, etc.) and/or in a particular
year of Ordinary Time (Sundays in Years A, B, C; Weekdays in Years I & II).
There are also many cross-references and some comparative analyses so that you
can more easily see the differences between various editions of the Lectionary.
Scripture Catholic
This site provides over 2,000 Scripture citations from the
Old and New Testament that explain and defend the teachings of the Catholic
Church. Each citation is followed by a one-line exegesis of a point of Catholic
teaching and assumes the reader has some understanding of the Protestant
position. The site is intended to function as a quick Scriptural reference
guide, and must of course be accompanied by further study of the Scriptures, the
early Church Fathers and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Hopefully, this
easy format serves as a useful tool for the Catholic apologist and others who
are interested in the Scriptural basis for the teachings of the Catholic faith.
